Frequently asked questions

What you need to know before chasing an invoice in Spain.

Have another question?

Visit the help centre
Is there a lawyer behind it?⌄

Yes. The letter of demand, the settlement step (MASC) and the court payment order are signed by a Spanish lawyer, member of the Málaga Bar (no. 4656). The formal notice is sent on your company's behalf using a lawyer-reviewed template.

What do I need to start?⌄

The invoice as a PDF or photo. We read it, work out what you are owed and tell you straight away whether we can take it on. Many invoices? Upload them all as a CSV.

Can a UK company use it?⌄

Yes. Claims are brought in Spain and we report to you in English.

How much does it cost?⌄

Step by step, and only if the previous step did not work: formal payment notice €5; lawyer-signed letter of demand €29; mandatory settlement attempt (MASC) €59; court payment order €179. These are final prices: nothing is added. UK and other non-Spanish businesses pay no Spanish VAT; for Spanish businesses VAT is included. No percentage of what you recover.

Free reminders or the €5 notice: what is the difference?⌄

Free reminders are simple emails in the monthly follow-up plan, for invoices you issue every month. The €5 formal notice is for an invoice that is already overdue: we demand payment on your company's behalf, in Spanish, with the debt and interest worked out, 7 days to pay and a link to pay or agree instalments, and you keep proof of sending.

When the debtor pays, who gets the money?⌄

You do, directly. The money never goes through us: your customer pays by bank transfer to your account or by card into your own payment account, and we take no percentage. Once you are paid, you confirm it and we close the file.

Are there hidden charges?⌄

No. You see the price of each step before approving it and we take no percentage of what you recover. The only cost outside our control is the Spanish court fee, payable by companies on payment orders above €2,000.

What if the debtor disputes the claim?⌄

If they oppose the payment order, the case goes to a hearing. We explain it in writing and give you a fixed quote before going further; it is your decision.

Can I stop at any time?⌄

Yes. There is no commitment: you approve each step, and nothing happens if you choose not to continue.

Do you use AI?⌄

Yes, to read the invoice and prepare calculations and drafts. No letter of demand, settlement step or court claim goes out without a lawyer reviewing and signing it.

What about confidentiality?⌄

Your documents are stored encrypted and protected by the lawyer's professional secrecy. They are only used for your claim.

Do I need to speak Spanish or call anyone?⌄

No. Everything is done in writing and online. The engagement letter is in Spanish, as it is governed by Spanish professional rules; before you accept, you see an English summary of its key terms.
